We encourage all clients to call and check with their insurance companies regarding their mental health benefits/coverage. It is important to do this before your first appointment, so that you have an understanding of your financial responsibility for services (co-pays, deductibles, etc.) as every plan is different based on the details of your particular coverage. There is no way for us to know these details ahead of time. If you are informed by your insurance company that your provider is an out-of-network provider, some insurance companies will allow you to submit verification of services and will assist with some kind of reimbursement. Again, we encourage you to obtain these details directly from your insurance provider prior to your initial session.

Your Rights and Protections Against Surprise Medical Bills

When you get emergency care or get treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from surprise billing or balance billing.

Good Faith Estimate

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
