Not accepting new clients.

"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone" is my guiding principle. I believe that everyone experiences trauma at some point in life, and working through it is the key to finding peace and personal growth. Itโ€™s never easy, but it is possible, and Iโ€™m here to help you navigate that journey.

As a compassionate and experienced therapist, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to work through lifeโ€™s challenges, heal from past trauma, and achieve lasting growth. Together, we will address the negative core beliefs holding you back and develop new skills to help you manage lifeโ€™s stressors and move forward with confidence.

I use evidence-based therapeutic methods, including talk therapy and bottom-up trauma treatment techniques, to help you process past experiences and cope with daily stress. Whether you're dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, or just the weight of everyday challenges, we will work at your pace to help you heal and grow.

Seeking therapy means you're ready for change. It's not easy, but with the right support, itโ€™s entirely possible. I bring humor, honesty, and a no-nonsense approach to therapy to create a relaxed yet productive environment. If youโ€™re ready to make meaningful changes in your life, Iโ€™d love to hear from you.

More About Me

From a young age, I knew I wanted to help people. In high school, I was the one my friends turned to for advice. I realized that by listening and asking the right questions, I could help them solve their own problems. This natural ability led me to pursue a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Psychology from Erskine College, with a clear goal of becoming a therapist.

After graduation, however, I found myself uncertain about becoming a therapist right away. Instead, I explored other opportunities in the business world, working in human resources and consulting on affirmative action and equal employment opportunities for a leading law firm. I also earned my MBA from Regis University while navigating the unique challenges of being a military spouse during and after the 9/11 attacks.

Through these experiences, I developed a deep understanding of the impact of trauma and stress on individuals and families. I started supporting military families and spouses, many of whom were dealing with post-traumatic stress, deployment challenges, and adjusting to life after combat. This reignited my passion for therapy, specifically for helping individuals affected by trauma.

Encouraged by family and friends, I returned to my original calling and earned a Masterโ€™s in Social Work from Simmons College. I became a licensed therapist and opened Insightful Journeyยฎ Therapy Services, PLLC in January 2022. Since then, Iโ€™ve continued to enhance my skills in trauma-focused interventions, EMDR, and specialized approaches for PTSD and Ego States Therapy.
